"Reflecting on God's Faithfulness: Highlights from the Past Year & Prayer Requests for 2023"

It is important that we pause and remember all that God has done this last year. Here are some highlights:

  • All 52 children at Hope Children’s Home in private school! Because the government school system has long been broken this will open so many more doors for these children.

  • All the children at Loving Fountain were able to safely go back to school. For 1 1/2 years it was too unsafe to go to the public school.

  • After 10 years of prayer and careful watch, we were able to purchase the property next to Hope Children’s Home. This will allow for sustainable projects to help with the food supply at Hope, teach the children about farming and growing their own food, and give them a place to play.

  • We were able to purchase a home for Ah Shar as she teaches over 30 children in the remote village of Konglangpu (near the Chinese border). She uses her home as a space to teach, and several children live there with her.

  • Through our partnership with IDES (International Disaster Emergency Services) we were able to give much needed food to some of our staff and to the parents of the children they serve. Inflation in this war-torn country is frightening and this gift of love showed how much we care about them and we clearly shared the teachings of Jesus with them.

  • Over 310 children and staff in our areas from the north to the south of Myanmar were fed, taught, cared for, and ministered to.

  • In 2022 Lifegate Church gave a sweet gift to pay the tuitions for our students at Joshua School for 2022-2023 school year!

  • To end our year Sherwood Oaks Christian Church once again gave a generous donation for country wide Christmas outreach! Hear more about it in our next newsletter.

  • None of these blessings would be possible without your continued generosity and God’s continued faithfulness. God is using your gifts to advance His kingdom across Myanmar!

As we move into 2023 we look with anticipation at what God will do through His people. Here are some tangible things we are praying for:

  • That we will develop the land bought for Hope Children’s Home for its optimum use.

  • That we will continue the Rural Nursing Program held at Myanmar Community Development Center, owned by ACM, and develop a program specifically designed for Bible Study and Vocational Training for the purpose of mentoring our graduating youth. ACM will continue to use this resource in ways that benefit the furthering of God’s Kingdom .

  • That we will find a private school in the area of Myitkyina, where Loving Fountain Children’s Home is located, and give all of those children the opportunity we have given Hope children.

  • That we will continue to instruct, guide and love well through the Trauma Therapy Program started last year.

So many gifts and so much to look forward to in the future! Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for traveling this road with us, some of you since the very beginning! We continue to look forward with anticipation as God unfolds His plan for Myanmar and brings many to Him.

It is a delight to work along side a staff that truly loves the children they are responsible for and that feel called to give their very best for Him. All our staff are so clearly focused on The Great Commission and we are deeply thankful that they were called to participate in God’s glorious plan.
